Our Fights

Billionaires and anti-union extremists are trying to rob working people like us of our power and freedoms. They’re attacking our freedom to negotiate strong contracts and damaging the public services our nation depends on. This is just the beginning.

They are working to make massive cuts to public services to pay for billionaire tax breaks. Gutting Medicaid, Medicare, food assistance and more will blow a hole in local budgets and result in cuts to all public services – from public safety to education, transportation to sanitation. Our jobs and our contracts are on the chopping block.

D.C. Budget Updates

Our D.C. community is under attack. Right now, anti-worker extremists are threatening to rip more than $1 billion of D.C.-taxpayer funds from our budget, all to deliver tax breaks to billionaires. We can’t let that happen.

Federal Sector Updates

Anti-worker extremists have shut down the government because they want to take affordable health care away from 22 million Americans. Meanwhile, Trump’s director of the OMB is threatening mass layoffs during the shutdown. The attacks on federal workers are not stopping, but there is still much we can do. Visit the Federal Shutdown Dashboard for resources, updates and more.

Tell Congress: Protect Federal Workers and Fund Public Services.

The president and his yes-men and women in Congress have escalated their attacks on workers and illegally fired federal workers.

Rather than lower health care costs for working families, they forced a government shutdown, which they’re now using to advance their dangerous Project 2025 agenda and stop critical public services. Illegally firing federal workers is not only cruel but dangerous, and it threatens the safety and security of our communities nationwide.

Tell Congress: federal workers should not be used as pawns in their political games.
