On September 27, 2023, in the month of the Labor Day holiday, Local presidents under the umbrella of AFSCME Council 20 will meet with Washington, DC elected officials at City Hall (John A. Wilson Building). We will remind them of the importance of organized labor in the Nation's Capital. They will hear our concerns and ideas for legislation that will improve the workforce as well as provide the best possible services for DC citizens.
While AFSCME Council 20 leaders meet with District officials, we invite our members to a Celebration of Labor at Freedom Plaza.
